You Can't Master IM Until You Learn to Communicate
Internet marketing can be overwhelming, particularly when you are a beginner and just starting to learn about the field. As you browse through forums and articles, you'll see all kinds of lists about what you have to do to be the next big thing. The items on these lists probably all appear to be conflicting. One will state that you have to be patient if you want to be the next big thing. Another will tell you that you must be extremely smart about business if you want to be the next big thing. Nonetheless, others will tell you that creativity is the key to wild and fantastic success. And, naturally, there are going to be scores of sales pages claiming they have the software system or course to teach you how to be the next big thing.
Fact: The rest of these things are essential (not so much the software program, but the others). Business smarts, creativity and patience are all incredibly crucial to your IM success. Obviously, if you are unable to clearly communicate with customers and clients, none of the rest of it will basically matter.
There is more to effective communication than publishing an impressive sales page. A good copywriter can take care of that component of your project. There is more to effective communication than building a gorgeous site that has a long FAQ. A skilled web site designer and writer can make those happen. Effective communication requires being good with interpersonal communication and in direct copy also. So what is it that you need to do?
1. Respond to every single e-mail you get within 24 hours. This isn't a joke. Your response doesn't need to be long. All you need to do is compose a quick note that says something like "I read your e-mail and will be sending you a full response soon." It is a good idea to include a portion of the email that references something the the other person has written. This tells the person that you actually read every email and are not an autoresponder.
2. Try not to let the telephone keep ringing. Try not to calls. Try to answer the telephone by the third ring. Do this even if you seriously have no wish to talk to the person making the call. There is, however, an exemption to this rule. You don't have to answer your calls around the clock. Rather, set clear business hours during which you can answer calls. Release these hours on your site and in your voice mail message too. And, of course, return phone calls if people were not able to reach you the first time.
3. Follow up with individuals to be certain that they have gotten your memos, emails, messages, etc. This indicates to them that you value your correspondence with them. It will help your clients and purchasers trust you further if you genuinely take the time to ask if they have any questions about your messages so that they can ask you to clarify anything they need clarified. copyrighter
